Our professionals have been acting for The William Pears Group and Hamways Ltd since our appointment to provide Reinstatement Cost Assessments (RCAs) for a portfolio consisting of 122 commercial and residential properties in 2016.

Following the success of this initial programme, our building surveyors were instructed to inspect and prepare RCAs for a portfolio of 12 hotels located in Scotland, Cornwall, Kent and Surrey.

We have since continued to provide RCAs on an annual basis. The 2018 portfolio consisted of 1,271 houses and flats on a national basis. The team also received a further instruction to undertake RCAs of 12 blocks of residential flats in the north east (Newcastle on Tyne).

The 2019/20 portfolio involved assessing around 1,000 houses and flats on a national basis. In 2021, the portfolios include houses, flats and managed blocks, again nationally. The full commission is due to complete in autumn 2021.

We continue to offer ad-hoc one-off RCAs to the client. To date this has included an additional 76 properties outside of the portfolio instructions. Our building surveyors also provide planned maintenance advice in relation to some properties within the portfolios.
