Lee heads up our Living Sector capabilities, utilising his experience from previous senior directorial roles at FirstPort Group and Orchard & Shipman, providing consultancy and management services across a wide range of residential offerings.

Lee has previously had management responsibility for the UK’s largest BTR scheme at Wembley and advised high street names and investment funds on innovating new styles of BTR and residential offerings to market.

Our consultancy and advisory team provide detailed analysis and feedback across a wide range of living sector assets and opportunities. Utilising a deep data pool, bespoke analysis tools and a rich vein of genuine operational experience, the team provide clients with a range of consultancy support, from initial feasibility and underwriting analysis, demographic research, financial modelling, operational management design, asset management planning, whole lifecycle costing, due diligence transactional support, and other bespoke services tailored to individual client requirements.

Our reports and consultancy services have consisted of:

  • Local area analysis and feasibility reports for three potential sites in the Oxford and Cambridge arc for a new entrant to the UK single family Housing market. The reporting and study involved investigating the local residential market, assessing the viability of the proposed development schemes, and providing advice on underwriting, rental values, leasing rates and operational costs. Following a successful transaction, one of the sites has progressed through acquisition and planning, with build currently underway for a large scale suburban BTR scheme.
  • Analysis and options report for a large-scale institutional multi-family investor, advising on the feasibility of their proposed first entry in to the UK’s single family Housing market.
  • Local market and viability analysis for a proposed 55-storey multi-family development in one of the UK’s primary city locations. This report included local market and competitor analysis, to establish depth of market, and viability of the scheme in its proposed configuration.
  • Portfolio analysis and options appraisal for a large residential property portfolio, owned and operated by a charitable fund. The options appraisal and detailed scenario analysis enabled the client to establish a clear route forward with regards to future divestment and asset management of the portfolio, to optimise long term sustainable returns.
  • Preparing detailed service charge schedules, apportionments, operational budgets, and rental projections for a development scheme of housing, apartments and commercial buildings on behalf of a small development client.
  • Providing valuations support through our RICS Accredited Valuations team on a transaction involving three operational and stabilised build to rent assets.
  • Providing local rental analysis and market reporting for a local authority subsidiary in order to assess the feasibility of a proposed later living rental scheme in a small market town.
  • Providing local area analysis, detailed market depth analysis, and viability reporting for a large institutional client looking to expand their portfolio of multi-family Build to Rent. The scheme is in a secondary UK city, where the Build to Rent market has not yet tested.
  • Preparation of detailed rental analysis, operational cost analysis, scheme design feedback and mobilisation planning for an independent student housing scheme in a major UK student location.
